Privacy Policy

Short version
- Our apps for children (Multiply Stars, Puddle Paint and Beat Buddies) do not collect, store on a server or share any personal information. Everything stays on your device.
- Our apps have no accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking.
- This website uses no cookies and no analytics.
- If you email us, we use your message only to reply to you.
1. Who we are
Cantris Technologies Inc. ("Cantris", "we", "us") is a corporation in Canada. We make software and hardware products. We are responsible for the personal information that we control.
Our Privacy Officer is responsible for our compliance with this policy and with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). You can contact the Privacy Officer at info@cantris.ai.
2. What this policy covers
This policy applies to:
- the website at cantris.ai ("the website");
- our apps for iPhone and iPad: Multiply Stars, Puddle Paint and Beat Buddies ("the apps");
- email and other messages that you send to us.
If we release a new app or an online service, we will add a section for it to this policy before you can use it. If a product needs a different policy, the product will show a link to that policy.
3. Our apps
The apps work on your device. They do not connect to any server that Cantris owns. The apps have:
- no account or sign-in;
- no advertising;
- no analytics or crash-report tools from third parties;
- no tracking across apps or websites;
- no third-party code that collects data.
The information that you or your child enter in an app stays on the device. Cantris does not receive it. The App Store privacy label for each app is "Data Not Collected".
If you turn on iCloud backup on your device, Apple can include app data in your device backup. Apple's privacy policy applies to that backup. Cantris cannot see it.
Multiply Stars

4. Tips and purchases
Some apps offer optional tips ("Buy me a coffee"). Apple processes these payments through In-App Purchase. Cantris does not receive your name, email address or payment details. Apple tells us only that a purchase happened, so that the app can say thank you. A grown-up is asked before a purchase, and a tip does not unlock any content. Apple's privacy policy applies to your payment.
5. Information from Apple
Apple gives developers some reports through App Store Connect. These include, for example, the number of downloads, the countries of downloads and sales totals. If you chose to share analytics with app developers in your device settings, Apple can also give us crash reports and usage numbers. Apple gives us these reports in aggregate or without your identity. We use them only to fix problems and to improve the apps. We cannot use them to identify you.
6. Children's privacy
Multiply Stars, Puddle Paint and Beat Buddies are made for children. We designed them so that we do not collect personal information from children:
- We do not collect, use or disclose personal information from children.
- The apps show no ads.
- Sharing, purchases and some settings are behind a parental gate.
This approach follows the rules for the App Store Kids Category, PIPEDA, the United States Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
This website is for adults. If you think a child sent us personal information by email, contact us. We will delete it.
7. This website
- Cookies: the website does not set cookies.
- Theme choice: if you choose light or dark mode, your browser stores that choice on your device (in local storage) so that the next page uses it. It is not sent to us, and you can remove it by clearing your browser data for this site.
- Analytics: the website does not use analytics, advertising pixels or social media widgets.
- Fonts and files: we host all fonts, images and code on our own website. Your browser does not load them from other companies.
- Server logs: the website is hosted on Firebase Hosting, a service of Google LLC. When you visit a page, the hosting service receives technical data that every browser sends, for example your IP address, the page address, the date and time, and your browser type. Google uses this data to deliver the page and to protect the service. We do not use it to identify you.
8. When you contact us
If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and your message. We use this information only to reply to you and to keep a record of the conversation. The legal basis is your consent, or in the EU and UK, our legitimate interest in answering your request. We do not add you to a mailing list.
9. Sharing and service providers
We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not share it for advertising.
We use service providers to run our business. They process information only on our instructions:
- Google LLC (Firebase Hosting) hosts this website.
- Our email provider stores the emails that you send to us.
- Apple Inc. distributes our apps and processes in-app payments as an independent controller under its own privacy policy.
We can disclose information if the law requires it, for example because of a court order.
10. How long we keep information
We keep emails for as long as we need them to answer you and for up to 3 years after the last message, unless the law requires a longer period. Then we delete them. App data stays on your device until you delete it.
11. Security
We use safeguards that are suitable for the sensitivity of the information. The website uses HTTPS only. We limit access to our email accounts to the people who need it. Our apps store their data in the app's private storage on your device, which iOS protects.
12. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can have the right to:
- ask for access to the personal information that we have about you;
- ask us to correct it;
- ask us to delete it;
- withdraw your consent;
- object to or limit some processing;
- receive your information in a portable format.
To make a request, email info@cantris.ai with the subject "Privacy". We will reply within 30 days. We can ask you for information to confirm your identity. For information that stays on your device, you control it directly: delete it in the app or delete the app.
Residents of California and other US states: we do not sell or share personal information as these terms are defined in state privacy laws.
13. Where information is processed
Cantris is in Canada. Our service providers can process information in other countries, for example in the United States. In that case, the laws of that country apply to the information, and authorities there can sometimes access it. We choose providers that protect information at a level that is comparable to Canadian law.
14. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will put the new version on this page and change the "Last updated" date. If a change is significant, we will also show a notice on this website or in the app before the change takes effect.
15. Contact and complaints
For questions or complaints about privacy, contact our Privacy Officer at info@cantris.ai. We will try to solve the problem.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. If you live in the EU or the UK, you can contact your local data protection authority.
